Town Hall Meeting - A Conversation with Our Teens

Students in the Maine Community Youth Assistance Foundation (MCYAF) Youth Program have been hard at work preparing for next week’s Town Hall Meeting – Keeping Teens Healthy and Safe- A Conversation with Our Teens. State Representative Marty Moylan and Park Ridge Police Chief Frank Kaminski join MCYAF to host the March 13th event. This local installment of the national Town Hall Meeting initiative brings together youth and adult community members to talk about ways to encourage kids to make healthy choices not to use alcohol or other drugs, as well as bullying prevention.

Community members from all over Maine Township are encouraged to attend the March 13th meeting at the South Park Field House on 833 Talcott in Park Ridge. The evening will start at 7 pm with interactive educational activities created by Maine Township students in the MCYAF Youth Program. State Representative Moylan will speak about anti-bullying legislation he spearheaded and other efforts to keep youth safe, followed by Police Chief Kaminski, speaking about the role his department plays in creating a healthy community
