REP. MCAULIFFE LAUNCHES RE-ELECTION CAMPAIGN SURROUNDED BY SUPPORTERS
McAuliffe is Focused on Families, Education, Economic Development and Government Efficiency
(Chicago, IL), October 5, 2013- State Representative Michael McAuliffe (R-Chicago) drew an enthusiastic crowd of supporters in Chicago’s Edison Park area on Saturday as he announced his plans to seek re-election. Rep. McAuliffe, with his wife Kim by his side, outlined his priorities for his next term and thanked family and friends for their overwhelming support.

“While it’s my name that will be on the ballot this is not about me,” Rep. McAuliffe told his supporters. “This is about you, the people of the 20th district who have trusted me to represent your interests, fight for families and vote the will of the people who have given me the privilege to carry their voice to Springfield.”

“Representative McAuliffe is an effective leader and does an exceptions job in Springfield standing up for the issues most important to our families,” says constituent Laura Tully Dennis. “He cares about our community and is someone you can relate to and I believe represents the hearts and minds of the people he was elected to represent.”
Rep. McAuliffe talked passionately about supporting senior citizens by making sure they have the support they need to live full and independent lives in their community in addition to making sure our schools receive the support and resources necessary to provide a quality education for students. He is committed to getting state spending under control and making Illinois a more business friendly climate.
“As a father of two children I want to make this a place where my children can reach their maximum potential and someday raise a family of their own,” says Rep. McAuliffe. “I will continue to support public policy that keeps our families safe, boosts our economy, supports our educational system, protects our seniors and provides the foundation for our communities to thrive.”
Rep. McAuliffe is a full time legislator in the 20th district that includes sections of Chicago’s 41st ward, Park Ridge, Franklin Park, Schiller Park, Rosemont, Des Plaines, Niles, Norridge and Harwood Heights.
