McFun for Plainfield School McTeachers

On Thursday, December 5th, Plainfield School held a McTeacher's Night at the McDonald's on Oakton St. Teachers took over the restaurant serving up delicious meals to students and families to raise money for the school. Twelve teachers worked very hard including McPrincipal Guillermo. The McTeacher jobs included; drive-thru teachers, greeters, cleaning the lobby, front counter teachers, drink teachers, teachers clearing tables, and teachers serving ice cream. There were even teachers singing for tips. Plainfield school had it all covered, and the families all had a great time.

The School plans to use the money raised to go into the PTSO fund for future programming. Lots of students, teachers, families and friends came out to support the school.  All the kids came to see their teachers work at McDonald's.  A special appearance by Ronald McDonald helped make this fundraiser a memorable evening. Families enjoyed taking pictures with and talking with Ronald McDonald. It was a great night! Ronald's appearance was courtesy of the Des Plaines McDonald's owner/operator's, the Schenk Family. If you are in Des Plaines this weekend, please visit the McDonald's at 725 W. Golf Road as for their grand re-opening week. Friday night there will be a live appearance by The Chicago Bull's IncrediBulls at 5:30 PM. On Saturday there will be a live appearance by The Chicago Balckhawks mascot, Tommy Hawk at 12:30 PM.
