The Maine Township Office of Emergency Management (OEM) and Township elected officials were out in the cold and snow on Dec. 14 to collect food and cash donations for the Maine Township Emergency Food Pantry.

Due to the tough economic times and the holidays, the demand on the food pantry is as high as ever. The group was stationed at the Shop ‘N Save in Des Plaines to help keep the pantry supplied.

Left to right, are Cody Hendricks, Deputy OEM Director Dagmar Rutzen, Highway Commissioner Robert Provenzano, Jim Coursey, Alex Hendricks, John Aykroid, Tracy Hancock and Geoff Stevens. The Hendricks brothers of Park Ridge were not working the drive but did stop by with their Dad with a nice donation.

For information on the food pantry, call 847-297-2510. Assistance is available for large pick-ups.
