Maine Township Honors Its Volunteers

Maine Township loves its volunteers and feels they are worth their weight in gold. Hence, gold was the theme for the recent Volunteer Reception hosted by Maine Township officials and staff at the Chateau Ritz, Niles. A lovely dinner, some mementos and lots of gratitude were bestowed on over 80 volunteers from numerous activities such as National Night Out, senior programs, service projects and much more. Here l to r, are Highway Commissioner Robert Provenzano, Trustee Peter Gialamas, Rose Mortello(MaineStreamer), Judith Mueller (MaineStreamer), John Aykroid (Office of Emergency Management), Steve Meinecke (National Night Out), Trustee Susan Moylan Krey, Trustee Walter Kazmierczak, Beverly Zussman (Volunteer in Assessor’s Office), Ed Oken (FISH), Supervisor Carol Teschky and Bob Neil (Youth Mentor).
