Fashion works for Uptown

Gather your friends and join Lutheran Child and Family Services of Illinois (LCFS) for the grand finale of “Fashion Works for Uptown” — an afternoon of food, fellowship, unique finds at the vendor boutique, amazing raffle prizes and the latest fashions of the season — all in support of Chicago Uptown Ministry.

This final production of the fashion show takes place Saturday, March 8 at Avalon Banquets in Elk Grove Village. It begins at 11:00 a.m. with a boutique and social hour, followed at 12:30 p.m. by lunch, a raffle and the fashion show. Raffle items include weekend getaways, sporting events, children’s toys, jewelry, theater tickets and dining certificates.

Registration information is available at www.lcfs.org/fashionshow or by contacting our events team at events@lcfs.org or 708-488-5558.

For many years, the fashion show has provided Chicago Uptown Ministry with financial resources and connected the program with caring and generous supporters. While the decision to bring the fashion show to a close was a difficult one, we know that it was the right one as the agency focuses its resources in other areas. It is our sincere hope that you will join us for the grand finale of the fashion show, but more importantly, you will continue to show your support for Chicago Uptown Ministry and the work being done there to help those in need, providing them with a sense of self sufficiency, hope and justice.

Chicago Uptown Ministry is a program of Lutheran Child and Family Services of Illinois, a non-profit social ministry organization serving some 40,000 individuals annually with foster care, adoption, counseling and youth residential treatment programs, along with a variety of community services.
