Congressman Dold Joins Char Foss-Eggemann For Des Plaines Food Pantry Donation
DES PLAINES – United States Congressman Bob Dold showed up at the Des Plaines Self-Help Closet and Food Pantry on Saturday morning along with Char Foss-Eggemann to help struggling families in need. Dold was alerted to the charitable organization through the efforts of Char Foss-Eggemann and her fundraising team, which have designated 10% of the net proceeds of their political fundraisers to support the good work of the food pantry.
Republican activists Char and Dold presented a $1,000 check to the organization gathered from fellow Republicans supporting the Char Foss-Eggemann campaign for Maine Township Republican Committeeman.
“We were very happy we raised quite a bit of money at our January 22, 2014 fundraiser because the more we raise, the more we get to contribute to the nice folks helped by the work of the Des Plaines Self-Help Closet and Food Pantry. We were honored by the presence of Congressman Dold this morning in presenting the check to Executive Director Debbie Walusiak,” said Char Foss-Eggemann.
“Congressman Dold said he would begin spreading the word about the good work Debbie and her staff are doing, and hopefully that will translate to more donations and more volunteers to help this vital organization in our community.”
