Char Foss-Eggemann Files 1,175 Petition Signatures With County Clerk
CHICAGO - Seeking to lead the local Republican Party as Maine Township Republican Committeeman, local political organizer Char Foss-Eggemann filed her nominating petitions at the office of the Cook County Clerk today.
“Dozens of volunteers gathered signatures of loyal Republican voters for three months in order to let everyone know that Republicans in Maine Township want change,” said Char. “They want leaders who will not cut deals with Democrats, but rather, leaders who will build an organization that can once again elect Republican candidates in Maine Township.
Char Foss-Eggemann is seeking to fill the position filled by retiring Republican Township Committeeman Rosemary Mulligan, who abdicated her responsibility to the Republican Party by endorsing Democratic State Representative candidate instead of Republican challenger Susan Sweeney in 2012.
“My job will be to replace the Democrats whose irresponsibility has brought state and local government to the brink of insolvency. We can only do that by expanding the base of the Republican Party to bring together all the moderates, conservatives, and libertarians who share our common goal for a Republican run government,” said Char.
Char Foss-Eggemann is an attorney who is married to Mark and is mother to sons Ty, Wil and Christian. Char is President of the Republican Women of Park Ridge and has been active in the campaigns of Susan Sweeney, Robert Dold and Jim O’Donnell, among others.
