With programs for boys and girls at every age and ability level\, our professional coachi ng staff will teach many training skills used by the Chicago White Sox.\ nThe summer camps are in over 60 different communities throughout the Ch icago area. \; Every participant in the summer camp program receives six free White Sox tickets\, an Academy hat\, t-shirt and graduation ce rtificate. \; Restrictions apply to ticket vouchers. All athletes se ven and older will also have their abilities tested in some of the same skills that pro scouts use to evaluate talent. \; The Top 30 qualifi ers in each age group will compete in the finals at U.S. Cellular Field in September at our Champions Day event. \;\nThe White Sox baseball summer camps are broken down into three different age levels. The 5-6 ye ar olds participate in a two and a half hour skills camp per day over fi ve days from 1:00pm-3:30pm that focuses on the essential skills of baseb all. The cost of this camp is $179. The 7-8 year olds participate in a t hree hour skills camp per day over five days from 1:00pm-4:00pm that foc uses on the essential skills of baseball &ndash\; hitting\, throwing\, f ielding\, pitching\, bunting and base running. This Sox Intermediate Cam p gives players a foundation of fundamentals to be successful on the fie ld. The cost of the camp is $199. The 9-11 year olds participate in a th ree hour advanced skills camp per day over five days for three hours fro m 1:00pm-4:00pm. The camp refines the fundamentals with advanced hitting \, throwing\, and base-running techniques\, team play\, and other tips t o advance the player to the next level also at a cost of $199.  \;\n The Bulls/Sox Academy opened in 2001 in Lisle\, Illinois and runs extens ive training programs for boys and girls from beginner to professional.
