The Des Plaines Lions Club is a service organization which provides civic volunteer work in the various communities in and around Des Plaines. Volunteer services include community projects, group volunteer opportunities, disaster preparedness and recovery, host families for visiting international youths, spreading diabetes awareness and combating global health concerns. The Des Plaines Lions Club holds its meetings at the Des Plaines Elks Club.
