You can take a short boat ride (weather permitting) with an experienced sailor, view the variety of boats on display, and talk to their owners. Be prepared to get wet on the ride. Find out the answers to all your sailing questions including: • What does it really take to own a boat? • How much does it cost? • Does it take a lot of time? • What if I have never sailed before?
The event is free! (But space is limited.) Pre-registration is recommended, and begins June 1 at the Clubhouse.

Located on Howard Avenue in Des Plaines, the Lake Park Clubhouse serves food and beverages for users of the public 18-hole golf course. The clubhouse also features a pro-shop carrying a variety of golf accessories. For further inquiry, visit the Des Plaines Parks Web site.
