The Des Plaines History Center is pleased to have Cyndee Schaffer, author of the book "Journey of Mollie's War," which "...describes the life of WAC enlistee, Mollie Weinstein (now Schaffer)...Her story documents the human side of life during the war."

More About Des Plaines History Center
Since 1967, Des Plaines History Center has been devoted to preserving all historical material related to Des Plaines and bringing together history buffs in the community. Its collection houses more than 31,000 objects and documents from the 19th and 20th centuries. It hosts lectures, tours, Boy and Girl Scout programs and participates in and helps organize festivals throughout the year. The center also contains a museum and gift shop.
