DESCRIPTION:Join the Des Plaines Park District for a day trip to Indiana 
 Dunes State Park\,&nbsp\;and National Lakeshore\nThe dune lands of south
 ern Lake Michigan&nbsp\;are renowned for stretches of crowded&nbsp\;beac
 hes\, bird filled marshes\, oak and maple&nbsp\;forests\, and towering d
 unes. Our morning&nbsp\;will begin at the Dorothy Buell Memorial&nbsp\;V
 isitor Center for a duneland orientation.&nbsp\;Then on to the Indiana D
 unes State Park for&nbsp\;a hike to enjoy the dunes. Our lunch stop will
 &nbsp\;be in Chesterton. After lunch we&rsquo\;ll explore&nbsp\;the 1820
 s fur-trading post and the 1900s&nbsp\;era Swedish farmstead of Bailly- 
 Chellberg&nbsp\;Homestead\, part of the Indiana Dunes&nbsp\;National Lak
 eshore.
