Join the Des Plaines Park District on a day trip to Hoo’s Woods Rapture Center, Lincoln-Tallman House and Rotary Garden
Hoo’s Woods Rapture Center in Milton, WI provides programs both educational and fun: learning about eagles, falcons, owls, and other raptor species with an appreciation of the coexistence of man and wildlife. Lunch is at the historic Speak Easy Restaurant in downtown Janesville, an award-winning historic Italian villa style mansion, where Abraham Lincoln was a guest in 1859. After lunch, we’ll tour the Lincoln-Tallman House, and our busy day will conclude at the Rotary Botanical Gardens in Janesville. Their 20 acres have an international focus, including Japanese, Scottish, French, Formal, Italian, and English cottage gardens.
