There is still plenty of time to get in some summer fun before school starts...

1. Stop by Lake Park Golf Course and get in a free round of golf at the Des Plaines Optimist Club youth golf outing on Wednesday, August 8. Shotgun start is 10:00am. Includes hot dog lunch and prizes. No registration is required. Ages 9-18. No clubs? No worries! Free golf clubs are available for use via the Sticks for Kids program.

2. Beautiful Chippewa Pool winds up the summer season on August 12 with a family friendly closing event from 4:00-7:00pm. Stop by and get in one last swim. Construction on a brand new pool begins August 13.

3. Are you a sweeper, a striker, or a defender? Come find out on August 13 at Fall Soccer Placement night at Prairie Lakes Community Center. Everybody makes the team and everybody plays!
