Marty Moylan and Fountain Blue in the news once again
STATE REPRESENTATIVE CANDIDATE SUSAN SWEENEY CALLS ON
OPPONENT TO DO THE JOB HE WAS ELECTED TO DO
Sweeney: “You can’t dodge an issue like this for over a year and claim you
are a leader.”
Des Plaines, IL—State Representative
candidate Susan Sweeney (R-55) is calling her opponent’s handling of repeated
noise complaints from Des Plaines residents entirely insufficient and
indicative of a fundamental lack of leadership. Democrat candidate Marty
Moylan, mayor of Des Plaines has, thus far, taken no action to resolve the
matter.
For over a year, Des Plaines residents have loudly complained to city officials that a local banquet facility has been creating too much noise in their neighborhood. Their outreach to the city includes repeated statements at city council meetings, letters and phone calls to city hall as well as nearly three dozen calls to 911 requesting police assistance.
“These repeated and well documented complaints about noise have fallen on deaf ears with Marty Moylan,” said Sweeney. “You can’t dodge an issue like this for over a year and claim you are a leader,” she added.
“For too long Springfield has failed to deal with important issues and has ignored the wishes of voters. Unfortunately, Marty Moylan is doing exactly the same thing in Des Plaines. We have to change that kind of mindset.”
Sweeney said she will use her business experience to and collaborate with local officials to help them find innovative ways to resolve local disputes. “As state representative, I will be responsive to constituents and help facilitate solutions with my fellow elected officials,” said Sweeney.
“One thing is certain, this lack of leadership is not going to help us tackle the state’s fiscal crisis and get people working again,” said Sweeney.

Sweeney is running on a family values platform. Maybe I am a little slow here, but how does divorcing your husband in 1993 extend to family values?
