Women Voters to Rally in Des Plaines for Romney, Ryan

“Girls Night out to Get Romney in” to feature community leader speakers.

In an effort to solidify the Republican women’s vote in Illinois for the Romney and Ryan presidential ticket, a rally will be held at a Des Plaines banquet hall next week.

Organizers expect several hundred attendees to gather for the “Girls Night out to Get Romney in,” which will be co-hosted by eight Chicago area Republican organizations and committees, at Café La Cave Restaurant, 2777 Mannheim Road, at 7 p.m. on Aug. 21.

Debbie Kraulidis, deputy director of the organization hosting the rally, URF Women’s Network, said the focus of the rally was to energize the female vote, gather and feel the energy for the upcoming election and raise funds for Romney’s campaign.

Kraulidis said a series of Republican organization members and supporters would speak at the event. Amy Jacobson, radio talk show host on WIND, will lead the rally charge, she said.

“There’s a variety of women speaking to this election and what it means to them, and some of them have some very personal, invested interests,” Kraulidis said.

She said while elected officials and candidates were invited to the rally, the focus was on community leaders sharing their experiences.

“We’re going to have a really energizing evening focusing on this upcoming election, and getting Mitt Romney elected,” Kraulidis said.

Kraulidis said the event was open to anyone who wants to see Mitt Romney get elected for president.

“So it’s food and it’s rally, and it’s top-notch speakers,” Kraulidis said.

Why would they back a candidate who is against women's rights. The wealthy won't be happy until there are only two segments, rich & poor. The battle lines are drawn, don't let Romney eliminate the middle class, without us our country will be doomed.
