Woman Found Dead in Front of Police Station

Police: No foul play suspected.

A woman was discovered on the sidewalk in front of the Des Plaines police station by a passer-by Tuesday morning, TribLocal reported. Donna Cinelli, 49, of Des Plaines, was pronounced dead at the scene, and police stated no foul play was suspected.

Des Plaines Police stated they believe Cinelli had health problems.

Commander Nick Treantafeles said police do not know how Cinelli ended up on the sidewalk, nor do they know how long she was lying there before she was found.

“We’re not going to investigate this case because there was nothing suspicious or unusual about it,” Treantafeles said.

Earlier: Street signs, restaurant vandalized and more.

Really? Nothing unusual about a dead body infront of a police station? How often does it happen?

This is Like a scene on the Bullwinkle show --
Now there's something you don't see everyday, Edgar.
What's that, Chauncey?
A dead broad in front of the police station.

Really? Is it every day that a dead woman shows up in front of the Des Plaines police dept?
The public deserves to know what happened to this woman. To just say that this woman had, "medical issues" is too broad of a statement. I, as well as others feel that your department just wants to sweep this under the rug, by ignoring that it happened. I hope you reconsider your decision not to investigate this case.

The woman's father indicated she had medical issues, but police did not specify what those issues were. The autopsy is set for Wednesday.

I am pretty sure they have cameras and video of the police dept. City hall areas. easy for police to view what happened. If a person felt ill while downtown, seems like a place to try to make it too. Sadly for this poor woman she didn't make it.
