Wednesday Police Blotter: BB Gun Used To Vandalize Cars

The following arrest information was supplied by the Des Plaines Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

Criminal trespass

Stanley Baran, 47, of Des Plaines, was charged with criminal trespass and public intoxication on Jan. 5. Police stated that Baran was drinking at a train depot in the 1500 block of Miner Street around 8:30 p.m. He had previously been arrested at the same place before, according to the police report. No other charges were filed.

Possession of marijuana

A 20-year-old Des Plaines man was charged with possession of marijuana on Jan. 6 in the 1800 block of Forest Avenue. The suspect had less than a gram of cannabis in his possession.

Vehicle vandalism

Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Grant Drive regarding a criminal damge complaint on Jan. 3. According to the report, a BB gun was used to damage several of the vehicle’s windows. No arrests were made.

A car parked in the 900 block of Webster Lane had several of its windows damaged from a BB gun on Jan. 4.

A vehicle parked in the 900 block of Webster Lane had its windows damaged from a BB gun on Jan. 4.

--

A car parked in the 1400 block of Ashland Avenue had its windows busted by a BB gun on Jan. 4.

--

Another vehicle had several windows broken from a BB gun on Jan. 4, but in the 900 block of Grant Drive.

Any one of the alleged perpretrators could be - outside of the named defendents - a relative of mine. Or me for that matter.
