Thursday Blotter: Theft at Dominick's, More BB Gun Damage
The following arrest information was supplied by the Des Plaines Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Possession of cannabis
A 21-year-old Des Plaines man was charged with possession of cannabis on Jan. 3. According to the report, police stopped the suspect in the 900 block of W. Villa Drive around 9 p.m. The suspect had about five-grams of marijuana inside his vehicle, the report stated.
Theft at Dominick’s
Leticia Zamora, 35, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft after police said she tried taking several DVDs and groceries from Dominick’s, 1555 Lee St., on Jan. 4. The combined value of said items was around $135, the report said.
BB gun damage
A homeowner in the 1100 block of Grant Drive reported that an unknown person used a BB gun to break several of his windows. The estimated damage was around $2,600, the report stated.
A homeowner in the 1400 block of 5th Avenue reported that an unknown person used a BB gun to damage several windows on Jan. 6. The estimated damage was around $750, the report stated.
A Dumpster in the 1600 block of Oakton Street was reported vandalized on Jan. 4. According to the report, spray paint was used to write several letters on the Dumpster.
A man reported that about 20 feet of his fence had been damaged in the 800 block of Oakton Street on Jan. 2.
