Republicans May File Lawsuit Regarding District Map
The 10th district is one of those reportedly contested.
Congressional Republicans may soon file a federal lawsuit challenging the district re-mapping presented by Democrats in Springfield, Journal & Topics Newspapers reported.
The congressional district map was re-drawn following population changes reflected in the 2010 U.S. Census. The 10th district, which includes Des Plaines, is one of the districts to be contested in the suit.

Since Republicons have shown there tendency to try and deny the vote to anyone who is not one of them, look at Wis or Ohio as examples. There whining about the redistricting is the hight of hipocracy.

John, In no way is this a jab to you. I am a life long Democrat of Wis. I am a committeman for my area and have been for 20 years. The sad thing is that Democrats in Wis do not turn up to vote. It is public record of who votes in primaries and you have to declare a party. You just have to pay a fee to get a print out of who voted. I see them every election. Sadly to say it my party is killing itself in Wis. We could of had a different Gov in Wis right now if the amount of registered Democrats actually turned up. The sad thing is we only complain after the fact. What happened in Wis and Ohio shound be a wake up call for all Dems who thought we could ride the Obama wave. 2012 will be worse for us.

(This is a "Dear John" letter...so here we go)
Dear John:
Let me be among the first to welcome you to Earth!
Your terse comments on Republicans suggests that since arriving you have only read the Chicago Sun Times or some related worthless rag filled with op-eds and very little substantive news.
Chicago and the Democratic Party have a long, long history of voter corruption, voter payoffs, voter intimidation, etc., over nearly a century of elections. One merely remember the goons menacing voters in 2008.The pre-eminiently distinguished Illinois House Speaker, the great and wonderful Mike Madigan, and the various rhetorically challanged Daleys have contributed little toward the honest conduct of elections. Mickey Baby has arranged legislative lines for two decades to effect the election of those who please his Highness and punish those who refuse to worship at the Altar of Mammon. Such behavior is nothing new to either major party.
Let me know if you want a recommendation where you can obtain for a complete pair of eyeglasses to replace those which only see to the left.
Good bye! Adieu! Aloha! Shalom! Vaya con Dios!
PS: Don't forget to thank whoever helped you draft your dynamic electronic epistle and tell them they might be better served by preparing future observations by first using some word processor.

Until the constitution of the State is changed, it is the duty and responsibility of the two houses f the general assembly and the governor to draw and approve the map.
