Police Respond to Explosion Report in Des Plaines
Residential road closed for five hours while police search for possible fireworks.
Des Plaines police responded to a report of a large explosion on the 500 block of Webford Avenue at approximately 9 p.m. on Jan. 17.

Des Plaines police responded to a report of a large explosion on the 500 block of Webford Avenue at approximately 9 p.m. on Jan. 17, stated Deputy Chief Nick Treantafeles. The reported explosion was possibly fireworks, according to the police report, but, after searching the area, no fireworks were found.
Treantafeles stated police closed the road for precautionary purposes until approximately 2 a.m. while they searched the area, and until police were confident there were no fireworks.
The source of the explosion was not discovered, Treantafeles stated.

You're kidding, Right???
They weren't searching the area, Tom Henry was the target. They had an effing bullhorn out for goodness sake. I know the brothers work(ed) for the city, so I guess i can understand, but eventually you going to have to stop pulling the wool over the citizens eyes. It is disrespectful.

L.A. found O.J.s glove in less then 3 hours... DesPlaines takes five hours for some items you can get in either Wisconsin or Indiana. Deputy Chief Nick Treantafeles (because this whole article is lie) should be investigated. Not to clue the Chief in.... but the sun rises in the morning and using useless resources when their is NOBODY out between 9 p.m. and Sunrise the "mysterious" fireworks could of been searched for in the morning, But the neighborhood knows the truth... I demand follow up to this slight of hand! Corner the chief, interview the neighbors , They pay the taxes, they work for the people! Tallk to them not the chief.

Anyone who lives within in a 6 block radius of where this happened knows this story is not true.Maybe the DesPlaines Patch should ask Deputy Chief Nick Treantafeles why he is trying to COVER UP what really happened.
