Monday Blotter: Woman Reports Man ‘Rubbed up on Her,’ More

The following arrest information was supplied by the Des Plaines Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

The Des Plaines Police Department provided the following reports.

Battery

Tracy L. Steeie, 45, of Des Plaines, was charged with battery after a woman reported that he “rubbed up on her” at the Polo Inn Motel, 374 Lee St., at 3 a.m. on June 4. Police stated the woman said she was standing outside her room, drinking a beer, when Steeie approached her and rubbed his hands up and down her legs.

Police stated the woman yelled at Steeie to get away, and two other witnesses confronted Steeie. One witness chased Steeie back to his room.

Steeie told police he did not touch the woman. He was given a court date of July 18 at Skokie courthouse.

Earlier: Des Plaines man punched dog, charged with a felony, aggravated cruelty.

Drinking in Public

Cuauhtemoc Martinez, 49, of Des Plaines, was charged with drinking in public after police found him passed out on a bench at the Metra train depot, 1501 E. Miner St. at 7:39 p.m. on June 7. Police stated an open can of Icehouse beer was found near his right hand, and the smell of alcohol was on his breath.

Criminal Damage to Vehicle

Police reported a parked vehicle’s hood and passenger side were scratched in the 800 block of Graceland Avenue sometime between 10:30 p.m. on June 5 and 12:40 p.m. on June 6. According to the report, a parking complaint was received from the same address at 10:11 p.m. on June 6.
