Man Faces Murder Charge in Wife’s Slaying

Opening statements will be made in the case of a man accused of stabbing his wife to death on Valentine’s Day in 2011, the Daily Herald reported.

Opening statements will be made on Wednesday in the trial of Heriberto Ramirez, 50, of unincorporated Des Plaines, charged with murder in the first degree in the killing of his wife on Valentine’s Day, 2011, the Daily Herald reported. Ramirez is accused of stabbing his wife more than 30 times.

When Ramirez was arrested in 2011, Cook County Sheriff’s Police patrol officers had responded to his residence at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Feb. 14, due to a 9-1-1 phone call made by his daughter, who was 9 years old at the time, in which she stated, according to law enforcement, her father was “hitting” her mother.

When police arrived they found Alicia Ramirez, at the time 45 years old, in the bathroom with extensive injuries, the Daily Herald reported.

She should have had a Gun.! Lots of Crazy men in our world praying on women in all kinds of ways behind closed doors. As women we have to defend ourselves against these crazy uncouth, ungodly, immoral men, who does not even deserve to have a woman, as they do not know how to treat them
