IDOT Stops Des Plaines’ Grant Funds
An investigation into DUI arrests follows a complaint about fraudulent data, the Daily Herald reported.
The Illinois Department of Transportation has suspended funding for a traffic safety grant to Des Plaines, pending an investigation into data about DUI arrests that may have been fraudulent, the Daily Herald reported.
Former Des Plaines police Commander Tim Veit approved the documents submitted for the grant money. Veit retired in April after more than 30 years in law enforcement.
