Harper College Tuition Rates to Increase
The cost for one credit hour will go up by $2 beginning in the summer 2013 semester.
Harper College students will soon be paying more per credit hour.
The college’s board of trustees approved increasing tuition by $2 per credit hour beginning in the summer 2013 semester, the Daily Herald reports.
Tuition will increase from $106.50 to $108.50 per credit hour for in-district residents. Full-time students taking 12 credit hours per semester will now pay $1,302.
Officials at the community college say the tuition increase was necessary, partly due to the lack of funding from the state of Illinois.
