Gang Graffiti at Parks, Residence in Tuesday Blotter

The following arrest information was supplied by the Des Plaines Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

The Des Plaines Police Department provided the following reports.

Criminal Damage to Property – Graffiti

Police stated gang-related graffiti was located on the west wall of the field house at South Park, 1590 Howard Ave., while police were checking the area for a group of suspicious subjects at 9:11 p.m. on Nov. 17.

An evidence technician was sent to take photographs of the vandalism, and, police stated, a work order to repair the damage was completed. Property loss was estimated at $100.

Criminal Damage to Property

Police reported gang-related graffiti was located on the west wall of the field house at Arndt Park, 1560 E. Howard Ave. The vandalism occurred sometime between midnight on Nov. 17 and 11:59 p.m. on Nov. 18, police stated, and property loss was estimated at $50.

Criminal Defacement of Property

Gang-related graffiti was located on the south wall of a residence on the 1800 block of Pine Street, according to police, which witnesses stated occurred sometime between 6:53 p.m. on Nov. 14 and 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 15. Property loss was estimated at $50.
