Disorderly Conduct at Tanning Salon, More in Tuesday Blotter

Criminal Trespass to Property, Disorderly Conduct
Olawale O. Babalola, 33, of Des Plaines, was charged with criminal trespass to property and disorderly contact after police responded to a report of a suspicious subject causing a disturbance at a tanning salon on the 1500 block of E. Oakton Street at 7 p.m. on Feb. 12.
A witness told police, according to the report, Babalola entered the business, repeatedly demanded 80 cents from an employee, and, when the employee refused, reached across the counter, police stated, “in a manner which alarmed and disturbed [the employee].”
Babalola was taken into custody by police and given a court date of March 7 at Skokie courthouse.
Criminal Damage to Vehicle
Someone threw a rock through the driver’s side window of an SUV parked on the 1000 block of E. Irwin Avenue sometime between 8:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Feb. 12, police stated. Property loss was estimated at $500.

The front door and the automatic door closer on an apartment building on the 1100 block of S. Arnold Court was damaged at 7:10 p.m. on Feb. 11, police stated. Property loss was estimated at $50.
