Des Plaines Mayoral Candidates to Debate Twice in Two Days

Former Des Plaines mayor Tony Arredia, Third Ward Alderman Matt Bogusz and Sixth Ward Alderman Mark Walsten will participate in two debates on March 20 and March 21.

 

The three candidates vying for the mayor of Des Plaines seat — Tony Arredia, Aldermen Matt Bogusz and Mark Walsten — will square off in two debates, back-to-back, on March 20 and March 21.

The first debate, hosted by the Des Plaines Chamber of Commerce at Giuseppe’s La Cantina, 1062 Lee St. in Des Plaines, will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20. Registration includes a buffet lunch; for more details, visit the chamber’s website.

Arredia, Bogusz and Walsten, as well as the aldermanic candidates, are scheduled to participate in a debate at Des Plaines City Hall, 1420 Miner St., from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, Journal and Topics Newspapers reported.
