Benjamin Brissette Named to All-State Academic Team
The Maine West High School student was one of 26 student-athletes state-wide to receive the honor.
Maine West High School’s Benjamin Brissette has been selected to be a member of the Illinois High School Association’s All-State Academic Team sponsored by Caterpillar.
Brissette is one of 13 male and 13 female honorees that were chosen from a group that included more than 450 students throughout the state. Nominees needed to possess a minimum 3.50 grade point average on 4.0 scale after their seventh semester, have participated in at least two IHSA sponsored sports or activities during each of the last two years and demonstrated outstanding citizenship, according to the IHSA website.
The All-State Academic Team members will be honored at a banquet at the DoubleTree Hotel in Bloomington on April 15, 2013.
