I'm confused. Your text says "This one seems to be over and it looks like Schakowksy will continute to represent the 9th District." However, the data in the table says just the opposite. . . which is it?

It's amazing that so many folks are against communism, yet every election they keep voting for the socialist candidate.

It's amazing that so many folks don't know the difference between communism and socialism.

Tim, in NIles we had a state representative and a state senator who ran unopposed. That lack of choice leaves the citizens and voters a little poorer. Thank you for providing a choice.

Schakowsky is only in office for herself and her little Kabbalistic group of supporters with money. Every time I wrote to her regarding some legislation that was clearly bad for the people of this district, she wrote back stating that she personally did not support that opinion. She does not care about the will of the constituents and is a Socialist. She should be removed from office.

Schakowsky just wants to stay in office. The poor wman can't do anything else and it makes her feel good to believe that she is the protector of her minions. The people who vote for her get to feel good thinking that they are on the side of truth justice and the American way. She and they haven't a clue or a care about the long term effects of their social and fiscal beliefs. Historically, there has always been an ebb and flow between socialism and capitalism. Unfortunately we are on the socialistic part of the curve. Of course the socialists think that it will lastr forever. It won't.

Read Shelley's poem below:

I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: "Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown
And wrinkled lip and sneer of cold command
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed.
And on the pedestal these words appear:
`My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings:
Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!'
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare,
The lone and level sands stretch far away

Socialism and communism. A difference without a distinction, one a more severe form of the other. Neither has worked in the past. Both destroy freedom and incentive and often kill large numbers of people , Hitler, Stalin and pol Pot being recent examples. Both lead back round to capitalism after years of misery. People never seem to learn how to hold the middle road. Right now, it would appear that the folks want socialism. That is great by me. I won't have to work anymore.
