Seats Still Available for Derby Style Fashion Show and High Tea

Tickets are selling fast but are still available for the 2012 Maine Township Republican Women’s High Tea and Fashion Show on April 28 at Casa Royale, 783 Lee Street, Des Plaines, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.  This year promises to be even bigger and better than last year’s popular tribute to the Royal Wedding.

Tickets are $30 each and may be purchased while they last by contacting Jan Provenzano at 847-390-8964 or Laura Morask at 847-696-7185. Tickets will be held at the door.

Ladies love to watch the Kentucky Derby to see the profusion of gorgeous and sometimes outlandish hats! So again this year, whether you see yourself as Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman or Princess Kate in a fascinator, or just dying for an excuse to go buy that pretty hat, you can don your favorite hat and come join the fun. This means Gents as well.  There will be a hat contest for both women and men’s categories with prizes awarded. Best Hat overall will be receiving a spectacular Kentucky Derby authentic Grand Prize. The event will also feature mint juleps, mimosas and a full cash bar as well as the fabulous food of Casa Royale’s High Tea capping the meal with authentic Kentucky Derby pie, flown in from Churchill Downs.

Ladies’ and children’s’ fashions will be provided courtesy of one of Park Ridge’s finest boutiques, New Prospects, owned and operated by lifelong Park Ridge resident, Amy DeGrazio. A fancy Derby Ball dress and hat provided by Reddington Bridal, Park Ridge, will be featured. Accessories will be provided courtesy of My Two Sister’s Boutique, owned and operated by Elena Bonacci and Gina O’Donnell, also of Park Ridge. All fashions will be modeled by Maine Township elected officials, County Commissioners, Republican Women’s Club members and special dignitaries including State Treasurer Dan Rutherford, State Representative  Michael McAuliffe (also running for re-election in the 20th District), and Highway Commissioner Bob Provenzano just to name a few. The fun also features great raffle prizes, a 50-50 raffle and the auctioning of creative centerpieces provided courtesy of Pesche’s Flowers in Des Plaines.

Jan Provenzano says invitations have gone out to current club members and their guests so if you haven’t joined our club yet, now are a great opportunity to do so.  You can still partake in the food, fashion and fun and enjoy a Day at the Races by calling Provenzano at 847-390-8964 or Morask at 847-696-7185. She added, all proceeds will benefit the Club. So folks, grab your hats and off to the races….!!!
