Public Invited To View Proposed Streetscape Improvements for Downtown Des Plaines
The Des Plaines Public Works and Engineering Department has announced that an Open House to view the proposed streetscape improvements for the downtown Tax Increment Finance (TIF) District #1 will take place 5:30-7 PM, Monday, July 2, 2012, prior to the City Council Meeting, at City Hall, 1420 Miner Street.
Various exhibits detailing the proposed improvements will be displayed. The City’s consultant, Christopher B. Burke Engineering, LTD., as well as City staff, will be on hand to answer any questions regarding the downtown streetscape improvements.
Following the Open House, during the Engineering Committee of the Whole portion of the City Council Meeting, the following items will be discussed:
- Presentation of the Master Plan for TIF#1 Downtown Streetscape
- Authorization to Bid the TIF#1 Downtown Streetscape Phase I
- Discuss the Relocation of PACE Bus Shelter within the TIF#1 Downtown Streetscape Phase I Plan
