Mark Twain School Kids Help Township Food Pantry

Several classes at Mark Twain School (East Maine School Dist. 63) stepped up during December by conducting a school food drive to help needy families this holiday season.

Here, l to r standing in the back row, representing Maine Township are Highway Commissioner Robert Provenzano, Clerk Gary K. Warner, and Supervisor Carol A. Teschky accompanied by Mark Twain Teacher Cathy Garbosa (Grades 5 and 6) and Teacher Teresa Simpson (Grades 1 and 2). The food went to the Township’s Emergency Food Pantry which helps hundreds of families every month.

Following the presentation of the donation, the Township officials answered student questions about township government.
