Maine Township Receives $3000 Food Pantry Donation
The owners of Countryside Saloon in unincorporated Des Plaines know how to help feed the needy. They held raffles during every Bears home game this season with a final raffle on Super Bowl Sunday. The raffle prize each time was a football jersey.
Proceeds totally $3000 were recently donated to the Maine Township Emergency Food Pantry. Here, l to r, are Owner Janet Bar, Supervisor Carol A. Teschky, Pantry Coordinator Carol Langan, and Joyce Solvig, an employee at Countryside. In addition, 200 pounds of donated food were collected.
