Congratulations were in order for Jered Milton of the Des Plaines Fire Department who was appointed to the position of Firefighter/Engineer on May 11, 2012.  A coffee and cake reception, attended by City of Des Plaines officials, Milton’s family, friends and co-workers, was held in his honor at 3:30 PM, Friday, May 11, 2012, at Fire Station #1, 405 S. River Road.  Mayor Martin J. Moylan issued the oath of Firefighter/Engineer to Milton at that time. Milton was originally hired on May 3, 2004 and became a Firefighter/Paramedic on July 9, 2005  (pictured above left to right) Des Plaines Mayor Martin J.
