The Des Plaines Public Works and Engineering Department has received notification regarding an Illinois Tollway Authority project stating that as construction continues on the Illinois Tollway’s Tri-Level Bridge twin structures at I-90 and I-294, the ramp from eastbound I-90 to northbound I-294 will need to be temporarily closed overnight, between the hours of 11 PM and 4:30 AM, on Tuesday, April 17, 2012.  This temporary ramp closure will allow the contractor to safely install the new bridge beams over the ramp.

The detour route for this temporary ramp closure will direct eastbound I-90 motorists to travel eastbound and exit via the Cumberland Avenue North ramp (loop ramp) and continue north along Cumberland Avenue to the entrance ramp to westbound I-90.  Once on westbound I-90, motorists will follow the posted detour signs until reaching the exit for northbound I-294.
