Des Plaines Recognizes Public Works Week

It’s National Public Works Week! The City of Des Plaines officially recognized the event with a proclamation presentation at the Monday, May 21, 2012, City Council Meeting. Mayor Martin J. Moylan and the City Council presented the proclamation recognizing the valuable services the Public Works Department performs as an “integral part of citizen’s everyday lives.” The proclamation, signed and read by Mayor Moylan, stresses the importance of efficient operations of water, sewer, street, public building, solid waste and snow removal systems.
