Des Plaines Camera Club's first Print of the Month for 2012 has been awarded to Jerry Hug for his image "Air Force Chapel".   Jerry is an enthusiastic and expert practitioner of a digital photographic technique called High Dynamic Range, or HDR, which he employed here to give dramatic detail and color.  The Digital Projected Image of the Month for January was won by Sue Lindell for her image of a bird in flight, entitled "Dropped".  Birds are one of Sue's favorite subjects, and though they are a challenging one, Sue's tenaciousness has resulted in many awards.  Other winners of awards for prints were Nora Liu, John Kowalyk, Theresa Hart, and Norb Wrobel.

The Des Plaines Camera Club meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month September through May.  Meeting are at 7:00 in the Des Plaines Park Distric Arndt Field House, located at 1990 White Street in Des Plaines
