Des Plaines Community Health Nurse Madeline May has announced that Cholesterol and Blood Pressure Screenings will be offered 8:30 AM- Noon, Friday, December 7, 2012, in Room 101, City Hall, 1420 Miner Street.

A total cholesterol screening costs $6 and does not require fasting.  A cholesterol breakdown with HDL/LDL, triglycerides and glucose requires a twelve hour fast and costs $22.

Both screenings require an appointment.  Free blood pressure screenings do not require an appointment and will be available on a walk-in basis from 8:30 AM - Noon.  For more information, please contact Madeline May, City of Des Plaines, Community Health Nurse, at 847-391-5481.
