Alexander Muss High School in Israel January Semester Program
There is still time to sign up for the April Alexander Muss High School in Israel Mini-Semester Program leaving April 9, 2013 and returning June 4, 2013.
Traveling through 4,000 years of history the land of Israel is the “living classroom.” AMHSI is unique, it is the only non denominational, pluralistic academic experience for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors. Students are inspired to “live outside the books”, encounter new ideas and challenge themselves in infinite ways learning about Israel through firsthand experience, numerous, exciting and unforgettable trips and stimulating conversation with classmates and teachers.
AMHSI’s teachers are a knowledgeable, caring, and passionate group of educators! They teach from the bus, from the top of a mountain, on the trail during a hike, and from inside caves. They teach from the heart and go the extra mile to encourage exploration, thought, and growth.
AMHSI is fully accredited; those who go during the school year keep up with their general studies classes working with individual teachers and receive full high school credit.
AMHSI’s Mission is to promote, build, and strengthen lifelong bonds between youth and Israel through study of the history and culture of the people of Israel. In addition to the 8 week mini-semester AMHSI also offers two summer sessions. AMHSI students are eligible to receive 6 academic credits from the University of Miami’s George Feldenkreis Program in Judaic Studies.
